Pagoda Setting for Teachers

This screencast covers how to turn off and on features in Haiku as well as making sure the "Don't send notifications" option is left unchecked. (1 min 37 sec)

A digest email is sent to parents showing the activity in all their child's Haiku classes. They then have the ability to click the link and look further.
Parents also have the ability to decide what they want to see. (There is a screencast in the Parent section regarding this).

It is important to remind parents that they need to confirm their email address before they are able to change notification settings. Direct them to the Parent section of our website.

Backup with Time Machine

Have you had your computer crash, or need to get it re-formatted by the IT office?  If you haven't backed up your computer before you get to this stage, you could end up losing a lot of your personal data, like music, movies, and photos.  Here is a link to a walkthrough on how to use a great tool called Time Machine already installed on your Mac to help back up your data:
I have also provided you with two videos below on how to setup your Time Machine.
*Please know that if you want to back up your computer using Time Machine you must purchase an external hard drive (an Apple Time Capsule or a non Apple external drive).

iPhone Tip - Dial a School Extension Automatically

The Phone Number Pause feature in iPhone allows you to tell your iPhone to pause after calling a number and then dial another number.

So, let’s say you are calling a colleague in the ES with extension “11279”. The school telephone number is 02-330-3100 and desired extension number is 11279. Using this option, the phone will first dial 02-330-3100, pause until the call is answered, and then dials the extension 11279 automatically.

To use this feature when using the phone app, just tap and hold the "*" key on the number pad after entering the first number.
Click the "+" button to add the number to your contacts.
